The School of Humanities is one of the five schools that make up the Loyola Schools of the Ateneo de Manila University.  It houses the seven departments and one program offering courses on both the undergraduate and graduate levels in various branches of the arts and humanities, as well as minor programs for students of the Loyola Schools.

Aside from offering degree programs, it provides half of the courses in the college core curriculum. These courses, in the languages, literature, art, philosophy, and theology, form the basis of the liberal education that the Ateneo de Manila University gives to all its undergraduates, the end of which is the formation of “men and women for others.”

Under its departments are research, teaching, writing, or training centers, which offer services to external publics.

The School also publishes four academic journals, including Katipunan, the only Filipino-language journal in the Loyola Schools devoted to Filipino as a discipline.
