The University Archives has been designated since 1958 as the central repository of non-current records of the administrative offices, academic departments, and student organizations. In this way, it acts as the administrative memory of the institution.

The three-fold objective of the archival program is to collect, preserve and make accessible materials of historical value to the qualified researchers.
