Best Thesis

Body

As a requirement for the completion of the Juris Doctor degree, Ateneo Law School (ALS) students are required to prepare and defend a thesis on a subject of law, which is considered novel, and requires extensive discussion and analysis of laws, legal principles, and jurisprudence.  The preparation of the thesis is supervised by a thesis adviser chosen by the student who is a member of the ALS faculty.

During the Commencement Exercises, ALS recognizes students who have exceptionally written and defended their theses.  Each year, the Thesis Awards Committee chooses the best theses, which are awarded a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
