Minor in Literature

Eligibility Requirement: Open to all Ateneo College undergraduate students who are at least in their second year.

Admission Requirements:

• ENGL 11 and ENLIT 12 (no grade lower than C)
• At least a sophomore
• Letter of intent addressed to the Director of the Literary and Cultural Studies Program (cveric@ateneo.edu; cc: Program Coordinator fsollano@ateneo.edu and litcs.soh@ateneo.edu)
• Interview with the Director

Curriculum Requirements (12 units total):

A. One from:

• Literatures of the Western World I: Europe
• Literatures of the Western World II: North America

B. One from:

• Postcolonial Literatures I: Africa and the Middle East
• Postcolonial Literatures II: Asia and Latin America
• World Literatures I: Genealogies and Translations Across Europe and North America
• World Literatures II: Theories and Transnationalities Across Latin America, Asia, and Africa

C. One from:

• Literatures of the Philippines I: Region and Nation
• Literatures of the Philippines II: Literary and Cultural Studies

D. Literature Elective: Any Literature elective of choice (3 units)
