First Year Admission, International Applicant

You are considered an international applicant if you are studying in, or graduated from, a school outside the Philippines.

You are considered a first-year applicant if you are still in the last year of senior high school.

If you have already graduated from secondary education AND you meet the following criteria, you will be considered a first-year college applicant if:

  • you have not yet enrolled in a college/university, AND
  • you have not yet taken any college/university units/courses before and/or during the application and confirmation period.

Application Process

In general, the application requirements and process for applicants from outside the Philippines is similar to local applicants.

For the incoming first year batch for School Year 2026-2027, all applications will be submitted online.

Before starting your application, review your degree program and scholarship options carefully. Prepare all the required supporting documents beforehand.

Application Form and Documentary Requirements

Apply via the Application Portal. Fill out the appropriate application form and upload your supporting documents.

Supporting Documents for Uploading

  • PDF copy of payment slip or transaction receipt as proof of payment of application fee (see Application Fee Payment)
  • Image copy of clear and recent 1x1 ID picture
  • PDF copy of Birth Certificate (PSA or NSO copy or its equivalent abroad)
  • PDF copy of Grade 9 to 11 report card/s
  • Additional documentation, if applicable (ex. SAT results, among others)
  • If non-Filipino citizen:
    - PDF copy of valid passports (bio pages)
    - PDF copy of current Philippine visas, if available
    - PDF copy of ACR I-Cards, if available
  • If dual-citizen, any of the following:
    - PDF copy of valid Philippine passport
    - PDF copy of Certificate of Recognition as Filipino Citizen
    - PDF copy of Certificate of Naturalization
    - PDF copy of Certificate of Re-Acquisition of Citizenship
  • Personal Essay (Choose at least one significant experience or accomplishment that has helped define you as a person.; limit: 750 words)

High School Record and Recommendations

  • High School Record (will be directly requested by the Office of Admission and Aid from the school)
  • Guidance Counselor / Class Adviser’s Recommendation Form
  • Subject Teacher’s Recommendation Form

Application Fee Payment

The application fee for international applicants is Php 2,500. There are various methods of payment available; choose the most convenient method for you. Once payment is made, please save your proof of payment (payment slip/email/receipt) as it is part of the requirements for application.

Scholarship Application

If applying for financial aid, fill out and submit the Financial Aid Questionnaire and the required supporting documents.

Completion and Submission of Application

Complete and submit your application on or before 19 September 2025 (via the Ateneo College Entrance Test application route) or 12 December 2025 (via the IB or SAT application route). We encourage you to finish your application way before this deadline.

Decision

Application results will be released by May 2026, via email.


Once Admitted

If accepted, international students must inquire from the Philippine Embassy/Consulate of the country of origin for student visa requirements and processing.

All accepted international students are required to take two (2) courses in the National Language - Filipino as part of the Ateneo de Manila college curriculum.

To support the internationalization initiatives of the University, an international student fee will be collected from non-Philippine passport holders (both resident and non-resident).

Note: If an applicant is found to be misrepresenting or falsifying a document/s, their application will be rejected or their acceptance will be withdrawn.
