Numerous opportunities for further specialization in teaching methodologies in their respective subject areas are provided. For the thesis option, students are prepared to conduct scholarly research that will address relevant issues in their own school setting.  The students are given the opportunity to link theory and research with current practice as they engage in fieldwork in a basic education setting.
