The Juris Doctor Program Methods of Instuctions
The primary method of classroom instruction for the J.D. Program is the Socratic Method - a system characterized by class recitation which has been found to be most effective in developing the student's power of analysis, reasoning ability, and facility of expression. Assignments on codal provisions, court decisions, and authorities are given by the professors, and students are called upon to recite to determine whether they have properly and correctly assimilated the law, its philosophy, and its application.
