The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is a stimulating community of learners committed to the pedagogical ethos of excellence, rootedness, diversity, openness, service, creativity, faith, and justice in pursuit of the continuing understanding of the ever-shifting human condition across deep and contemporary times.
Equipped with the transdisciplinary knowledge instruments of anthropology, archaeology, development, geography, sociology, and communities of practice, the Department produces well-rounded persons working, leading, and who made remarkable achievements in politics, law, medicine, the sciences, art, business, cultural resource management, journalism, government and intergovernmental service, international and community development, faith relations, and social advocacies.
