Promoting Active Transport

In 2021-2022, the University welcomed an average of more than 5000 pedestrians every month. The Loyola Heights campus is designed to be easy to navigate through the covered walkway network that connects buildings and allows pedestrians to walk even when it is raining. In the In the LS Undergraduate Student Handbook 2022, walking is recommended to be the primary means of getting around using the expanded walkways and brick paths.

To encourage the community to commute using bicycles, scooters and other forms transport, there are bicycle racks conveniently placed throughout the campus. These are complemented by designated bicycle lanes that can be found on all campus roads.
