Welcome to Ateneo's Residence Halls

Ateneo de Manila University has on-campus accommodations available to undergraduate and graduate students, senior high school students, faculty and administrators, and guests of the University.

The University Residence Halls (URH) complex is situated within our sprawling 87-hectare Loyola Heights campus, with facilities that can accommodate up to 1,000 residents in five separate residential halls, and a wide mix of housing options to accommodate the disparate requirements and budgets of our residents.

Safety and Wellness

At URH, the physical and emotional well-being of our residents is of primary importance.  To this end, we have a pool of Resident Advisers (RA’s) in every building, who oversee all of our dormers, help them to adjust to life away from their families, and serve as their attentive and ever-present adult companions in their home away from home.  Committed to an apostolate of presence, the RA’s seek to enrich the residential life experience of all our dormers and encourage their growth and development through constant interaction and dialogue with them.

We have a set of house rules and policies that are designed to ensure that all residents are mindful of their responsibilities as members of a larger community and respectful of the rights and well-being of the other members of the community.

There is a university ambulance service that is available 24/7, staffed by medical professionals under the supervision of our University Physician and our university health services.

All buildings are monitored 24/7 by security guards, and aided by CCTV systems.

Amenities

There are multiple dining facilities within the URH complex that serve three meals a day for all residents at reasonable prices.

Residents have access to both laundry services and self-operated laundry machines, kitchenettes/pantries where they can prepare their own meals, dedicated prayer rooms, study halls, a weight training gym, and recreational spaces.

Formation

We have a dedicated Formation team that organizes spiritual, social, and academic activities for the benefit of our resident community and an active Ateneo Resident Students Association (ARSA) where student leaders plan and organize recreational and community-building activities for the benefit of their fellow dormers.  All resident students are automatic members of ARSA.

We always seek to provide an atmosphere of positive engagement and mutual respect and support the holistic formation of resident students through a healthy community life.

Scholarships

Many of our residents are beneficiaries of partial and full dormitory scholarships.  Prospective residents of URH who need financial aid to support their dormitory fees can apply for such scholarships through the Office of Admissions and Aid (for undergraduate students), the Office of Admission and Scholarships (for students of the Senior High School), or the University Athletics Office (for athletes).
