Paghahandog 2022: A Celebration of Student Leadership and Service

Every year, we recognize the efforts of individuals and groups from the Ateneo de Manila University, who have exemplified excellence in sports, socio-civic engagements and leadership and service. These students are recognized for their contribution to nation-building and for being symbols of hope. 

This year’s search for these worthy exemplars will culminate in an awarding ceremony dubbed as “PAGHAHANDOG 2022: A Celebration of Student Leadership and Service” where we will be giving out several sets of recognitions, namely the Loyola Schools Awards for Sports, the Ateneo Socio-Civic Engagement for National Development (ASCEND) Awards, and the Loyola Schools Awards for Leadership and Service. 

For the past two years, we have held the Paghahandog awarding ceremony online in light of the challenges brought about by the pandemic. This year, as we move towards welcoming the Loyola Schools community back on campus for classes and other activities, we see this as an opportunity to once again hold the Paghahandog awarding ceremony onsite.

Given this, PAGHAHANDOG 2022: A Celebration of Student Leadership and Service will be held on 20 June 2022, Monday, from 3 to  5pm and it will be held onsite at the Escaler Hall. The conduct of this important activity onsite assumes that the COVID Alert Level remains at Level 1 or 2. 

As we all live in such extraordinary and challenging times, it is truly uplifting and encouraging to see our young students give so much of themselves and do extraordinary things in the service of others. 

We truly look forward to holding this momentous event back on campus, in celebration of their remarkable efforts and proud achievements.
