Tinig sa Dilim: A talk on Student Involvement during the Martial Law
Never Again, Never Forget.
The Council of Organizations of the Ateneo - Manila invites you to “Tinig sa Dilim: A talk on student involvement during the Martial Law” with our guest speakers Fr. Jett Villarin and Atty. Chel Diokno.
As students, we have never been quiet when it comes to dissent. This can be seen through history as we see student involvement and participation flourish especially in response to challenges brought by the external political context. As we approach the 50th year since the declaration of Martial Law by the late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos, may we still remember the events that happened during one of the darkest times in Philippine history, and the role we play as students in taking a stand and using our expanded awareness in serving the nation.
The talk will be held on September 26, 2022 from 5:30PM - 7:30 PM at CTC 413. Kindly take note that there are limited slots available.
