In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Martial Law declaration in the Philippines by president Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr., and in solemn memory of the 11 Ateneo de Manila martial law activists - Ferdie Arceo, Bill Begg, Jun Celestial, Sonny Hizon, Ed Jopson, Eman Lacaba, Dante Perez, Ditto Sarmiento, Lazzie Silva, Nick Solana, and Manny Yap - Dr. Montiel will share their stories and her own personal experience of those dark and harrowing times in our history.
Martial law was real.
