This activity aims to help teachers broaden and deepen their understanding of the use of fiscal policies and monetary policies by the Philippine government, with focus on the recent and current economic setting. It is an extension of basic macroeconomics as these policies are meant to stabilize macroeconomic variables such as inflation rate and income growth as well as secure employment for the labor force. Such policies are necessary to achieve sustainable growth.
