Webinar | Systems Dynamics Modeling for Manila Bay: The Case of Metro Manila
On March 24, 2023, Coastal Cities at Risk in the Philippines, along with the Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo Institute of Sustainability, and the Arete, will be hosting a webinar entitled “System Dynamics Modeling for Manila Bay: The Case of Metro Manila.” The event will start at 3:30PM (Philippine Standard Time) and will be livestreamed via Facebook.
Our keynote speakers hail from the University of Bergen in Norway. Dr. Aklilu Tilahun Tadesse is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Bergen (UiB), Department of Geography, System Dynamics Group. In the COAST Card project, he leads the System Dynamics model development. Professor Emeritus Pål Davidsen is Professor of System Dynamics (SD) and has a Mag. Art. in Information Science. At UiB, he founded the System Dynamics Group and the Educational Information Science and Technology Programme and is cofounder of the European Masters Programme in Systems Dynamics.
On hand to give their comments are Dr. Rhodora Azanza, Professor Emeritus of the Marine Science Institute of the University of the Philippines, Dr. Kendra Gotangco Gonzales, Director of the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability, and Dr. Greg Tangonan, Research Director of the Ateneo Innovation Center. Giving closing remarks will be Dr. Emma Porio, CCARPH Project Leader and Principal Investigator.
