We invite you to 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹: 𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 featuring Jessica Zafra and Glenn Diaz on April 12, 2023, 5:00 PM at the 5/f of Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University
About the speakers:
𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗭𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮 has written two collections of short stories, including 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢 𝘡𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢 published by the Ateneo University Press, as well as a dozen collections of essays on film, literature, travel, rock music, popular culture, and current affairs. She has received Palanca Awards for her short stories, and the National Book Award for her collection of essays. Her first novel, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 is also published by Ateneo Press.
𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝘇 is the author of 𝘠𝘯̃𝘪𝘨𝘢 and 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘖𝘯𝘦𝘴 which are both published by Ateneo Press. The latter won the Palanca Grand Prize, the Philippine National Book Award, and the Madrigal Gonzalez First Book Award. He teaches literature and creative writing at the Ateneo de Manila University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide.
