[INVITATION] ASOG Webinar Session: The Political Economy of Structural Transformation in the Philippines and the Role of the Conglomerates: Will this time be different? (10 May 2023)

The Ateneo School of Government, through its public policy think tank, the Ateneo Policy Center, will host a webinar on 10 May 2023, Wednesday at 11:00AM - 12:30PM, for a study entitled “The Political Economy of Structural Transformation in the Philippines and the Role of the Conglomerates: Will this time be different?”, conducted by Dr. Jesus Felipe, Edgard Desher Empeño, and Brendan Miranda from De La Salle University’s School of Economics.
The study explores how the Philippines can develop and transform its economy, delves into the challenges of shifting workers out of agriculture and to production and exportation of more complex products and examines the role of conglomerates in this transformation.
