Evidence-based Policy: IFAD’s Impact Assessments for Food Systems Transformation
Tisorn Songsermsawas, an Economist in the Research and Impact Assessment division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), shares insights into the systematic impact assessment process crucial for enhancing development effectiveness.The presentation outlines IFAD's methodology, detailing how project-level impact assessments translate into corporate-level reporting on IFAD targets, covering its overarching goals and strategic objectives. Specifically, Songsermsawas discusses the results of IFAD11 impact assessments, summarizing the corporate-level impacts of all IFAD projects that concluded between 2019 and 2021. His research focus includes IFAD's goals related to economic mobility, production, marketing, and resilience, contributing valuable insights to decision-making, project design, and target setting within the organization.
