Brief Description of the Topic:
This study – which is exploratory in nature – focuses on the phenomenon of global work-from-home as experienced in the Philippines. Specifically, we describe the growth of the so called “Online Filipino Workers” (OFWs) – their demographics, motivations, challenges and the skillsets needed to thrive in this type of work. We then generate valuable insights for the broader international business and international management literature.
