Towards Integrated Health Service Delivery: Introducing the Health Smart Card Prototype, 12 December

The Ateneo School of Government, through the Ateneo Policy Center, will be hosting a brown bag session titled “Towards Integrated Health Service Delivery: Introducing the Health Smart Card Prototype” on 12 December 2023, 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN.
In the Philippines, patients’ access to their own health records is limited. Despite the patient’s right to information, the current system blocks their access to their own data. Patients can only access their records upon request, usually receiving photocopies of their original records that tend to offer incomplete information. As a result, patients lack the ability to freely choose who to seek care from.
In this session, Dr. Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go and Mr. James Tristan Mendoza will present a current initiative proposing the development and adoption of a health smart card, an integrative tool unique to each Filipino that carries their lifetime record. This project aims to enhance the continuance and increase its accessibility, empowering patients to take charge of their own health.
This event is by invitation only and will be held onsite. Lunch will be served.
