Alumni Conversation: History in the Age of Disinformation

Disinformation has long existed. While it is not a product of the digital age, the times we are in have exacerbated its prevalence— the methods in which it is carried out, its reach, and the harm it creates.

Dr Ambeth Ocampo, Professor of the Department of History, leads our conversation with his lecture "History in the Age of Disinformation."

In this inaugural Alumni Conversation, we take a look at how studying and engaging with history has changed throughout the years, especially with rampant disinformation across the world.

 

Join us at Leong Hall Auditorium on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 3 to 5 in the afternoon.

Light snacks will be served at the Leong Hall Roofdeck after the conversation.
