Marie Curie and Hertha Ayrton were trailblazers in their field, and their work continues to this day. Their story didn't end after the scandal-come see what it means to be a woman in STEM, in Women & STEM: Being and Writing Women in the Sciences, featuring playwright of The Half-Life of Marie Curie, Lauren Gunderson!
This event is a panel discussion that includes Dr. Catherine P. Vistro-Yu (Program Coordinator, Mathematics Education Member of the Board of Directors, Ateneo Library of Women's Writing), Dr. Olivia M. Buenafe (Department Chair, Department of Chemistry), while the talk will be moderated by Dr. Khursten Santos (Executive Director, Ateneo Library of Women's Writing).
Women & STEM will be held on August 27, 2024 from 12:30PM to 2:00PM at the Faura Audiovisual Room in Ateneo de Manila University.
This event is in partnership with the Ateneo Library of Women's Writings, Fine Arts Program, Aretè, MusicArtes Inc., and the Philippine Theatre Actor's Guild.
