Taxes Made Easy? Demystifying the Ease of Paying Taxes Act for Taxpayers

The Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Act is developed on the grounds of recent tax reforms, such as the TRAIN Act and the CREATE Act. The EOPT Act introduces significant amendments to our Tax Code, particularly on taxpayer classifications, filing of tax returns, tax payments, registration procedures, and the most controversial, which is the changes in the invoicing requirements. The EOPT Act also requires the BIR to create digitalization plans and programs to ease tax compliance for taxpayers. ALAAI’s lecture aims to discuss these revenue regulations in a simplified manner.
