Supporting the Mental Health of Our Youth

On 8 October 2024, Dr Maria Regina Hechanova-Alampay will be delivering a lecture on supporting the mental health of our youth, called “Mental Health for All: Prevention, Screening and Interventions for Schools.” 

Dr Hechanova-Alampay, who just this year became an awardee of the 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos, has been a longtime champion of mental health, pioneering solutions and research in the fields of organizational psychology, community-based mental health, and substance use programs.

Her contributions in psychology in the last 20 years have benefited countless students, communities, and Filipinos, and she will present what she has learned, discovered, and continues to discover in her time as a psychologist.

The lecture and presentation will be accompanied by a Q&A session to be moderated by Dr Cara Fernandez, Chair of the Department of Psychology of Ateneo de Manila. 

“Supporting the Mental Health of Our Youth” will take place on 8 October 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Loft, 4th Floor, George S.K. Ty Learning Innovation Wing, Areté, Ateneo.
