Equivalent to 16 learning hours, this course is designed for Philippine public officials and leaders who want to sharpen both their leadership presence and their ability to craft effective, credible, and timely messages. The course combines practical lessons in crisis and security communication, institutional messaging, branding, and digital storytelling.
With this course, participants will be strengthened on how to:
- Communicate with authority and authenticity as public leaders
- Build trust and transparency through strategic messaging
- Engage citizens and stakeholders effectively, both in person and online
- Respond with clarity and confidence in times of crisis or pressure
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between leadership communications (how leaders connect, inspire, and influence) and strategic communications (planned, purposeful messaging for governance and institutions)
- Apply both frameworks to improve trust, transparency, and impact in the public sector
- Develop a communication playbook with tools for leading during crises, building public trust, and sustaining citizen engagement
- Take home a Leadership & Strategic Communications Playbook tailored to their agency’s needs, giving them practical tools to lead with credibility and connect with the people they serve.
The sessions are led by Mr. Leon G. Flores III, Professor of Praxis of the Ateneo School of Government and Mr. Jonathan E. Malaya, the former Assistant Director-General and Official Spokesperson of the National Security Council.
The course fee of Php 15,000 is inclusive of certificate (upon successful completion of course requirements), training materials, access to post-training resources and peer learning opportunities, and meals (light snacks and lunch).
