[Training Course] Strategic Public Procurement for Local Industrial Development: The Tatak Pinoy Strategy
Warm greetings from the Ateneo School of Government!
The Ateneo School of Government (ASoG), through its Executive Education Program, is inviting you to the training course Strategic Public Procurement for Local Industrial Development: The Tatak Pinoy Strategy scheduled on 03 to 04 March 2026 to be held onsite at the Ateneo de Manila University Loyola Heights Campus.

This course equips local government officials with the policy foundations, institutional understanding, and practical tools needed to implement the Tatak Pinoy Strategy at the provincial, city, and municipal levels. It focuses on how LGUs can operationalize national industrial policy through local planning, procurement, MSME development, clustering, and coordination with national government agencies.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the legal basis, objectives, and structure of the Tatak Pinoy Strategy and the Tatak Pinoy Seal.
- Identify concrete roles of LGUs in implementing the Strategy across planning, procurement, and MSME development.
- Apply Tatak Pinoy principles in LGU procurement in compliance with the New Government Procurement Act.
- Design LGU interventions that strengthen local value chains rather than isolated sectors.
- Support MSMEs, cooperatives, and clusters in qualifying for Tatak Pinoy Seal certification.
- Prepare a draft LGU Tatak Pinoy Action and Compliance Plan aligned with national requirements.
Anchored on the Tatak Pinoy Act and the President’s approval of the Tatak Pinoy Strategy, the course emphasizes applied implementation. Participants will work directly on translating national mandates into local action plans that strengthen domestic value chains, support MSMEs, and comply with procurement and industrial policy requirements.
The course is designed for senior officials, planners, procurement officers, and local economic development staff who are responsible for aligning LGU actions with national development strategies.
The course fee of Php 15,000 is inclusive of certificate (upon successful completion of course requirements), training materials, access to post-training resources and peer learning opportunities, and meals (AM-PM snacks and lunch).
