The Role of the Judge and Originalism
The Ateneo Law and Liberty Circle (ALLC) warmly invites you to an online talk entitled “The Role of the Judge and Originalism” featuring Patrick J. Bumatay, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
In this special lecture, Judge Bumatay will share his insights on the proper role of the courts in constitutional and statutory interpretation, with particular emphasis on originalism, judicial restraint, and stare decisis. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from a sitting U.S. federal appellate judge on questions that continue to shape constitutional discourse worldwide.
