Strengthen your policymaking skills.
Public Policy Development and Analysis introduces participants to the fundamentals of evidence-based policy analysis and development in the public sector. This course delves into the process of analyzing policy methods that can be used to address contemporary policy problems. The course will ensure provision of core knowledge about policy making including its basic methods, principles and theories which will be useful in generating responsive results for making good policy decisions.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the concept, process, and environments of public policy.
- Analyze the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in policy reforms and decision-making.
- Apply policy analysis tools to evaluate and propose policy solutions that are not only responsive but also durable and resilient over time.
This course is designed for executives, officers, and staff of national and local government agencies, policy-makers, development practitioners, and others working in or with the public sector. Private sector professionals are also encouraged to join to gain an appreciation of public policy-making and its impact on governance and development.
The course will be delivered by Manolito A. Novales, Core Faculty at the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG). He teaches public policy, health financing, and leadership while advising MPM students and leading executive education programs in Policy Development and Project Management. He has extensive experience in governance, policy development, and health systems.
The course fee of Php 23,000 is inclusive of certificate (upon successful completion of course requirements), training materials, access to post-training resources and peer learning opportunities, and meals (light snacks and lunch).
