We are excited to announce exciting new things that are happening this SY 2025-26. We are rolling out the revised curriculum of the AB-IS Program which has now expanded to 50 tracks! The expanded menu reflects an important shift from a generalist approach to more specialized tracks that allow students to pursue a deepening of their knowledge and skills in their chosen tracks. Our track designs follow a logical sequence of progression from basic to more advanced subjects. Students now have more specific track offerings to choose from so they can acquire niche training in a combination of fields that play to their unique strengths and interests. We believe that niche training can set our graduates apart!
Students of the AB-Humanities Program have a unique opportunity to choose a combination of 2 or up to 3 tracks from the AB- Humanities menu which includes all courses offered by the School of Humanities as well as History, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese Studies offered by the School of Social Sciences, and Education offered by the Gokongwei Brothers School of Learning and Design.
Students of the AB-IS Program may choose 2 tracks from a menu of 50 options offered by various schools, with the guidance of an academic adviser. Students are encouraged to combine tracks that offer some disciplinal distance to create opportunities for fruitful interdisciplinary integration. Certain combinations of tracks with overlapping foundational courses are not allowed. Students may consult with the department's academic advisers for guidance on allowable track combinations.
