Critical, dialogical, and inculturated theological reflection

Body

Theology, an integral part of Jesuit Education, with its living intellectual and moral/spiritual tradition and its truly Catholic/Christian orientation, aims to foster the total formation of Ateneo students.

While the Catholic and Jesuit education permeates the whole University, the specific task of theology is to bring this tradition into an explicit, systematic and critical study in our Filipino context. This involves a serious effort at creating, articulating and exercising a critically grounded, inculturated program that engages the intra-inter and metapersonal contexts of today’s Ateneo students leading towards a transformation of consciousness translated in a committed Christian/Catholic faith life. As a constitutive part of the humanistic program, Theology infuses the academic formation of students with a firmly articulated Catholic/Christian vision.
