Mission
The Department seeks to train scientists and technologists who are anchored in solid foundational competencies, critical and creative thinking, and proactive attitudes. It seeks to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country by developing a research culture that is attuned with the industry and that will provide a basis for competitive local technology. It seeks to engage various sectors of society in defining and realizing strategic goals for the development of science and technology in the country.
