Intern for Campus Biodiversity

 

Description

The Intern for Campus Biodiversity assists the Program Head and Program Officer for Organizational Sustainability of AIS to implement programs and initiatives related to campus biodiversity. 

Job Summary

The Intern for Campus Biodiversity will:

  • Assist in the key events and activities for the Semester of the Organizational Sustainability Program, such as but not limited to, Refill Plus, Blue Roots, Campus Biodiversity Management, and Footprints for Sustainability, through logistics, secretariat, and promotional duties
  • Support in the development of major policy and research projects, such as Sustainability Policies and Specific Guidelines, Biodiversity Action Plan, Community Sensing on Mobility, and Ateneo Sustainability Report
  • Participate in cross-cutting activities related to campus sustainability, such as Sustainable Cafeteria, Waste Audit, Green Nudges, and many others
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate the campus sustainability programs effectively
  • Attend relevant meetings and discussions related to the biodiversity programs and projects
Description of Education, Competence, and Experience Required:
  • Currently studying in AdMU undertaking a 4 or 5-year college degree
  • Experience or interest in biodiversity, sustainability, and related fields
  • Strong research and project management skills, and experience in event organization
  • Proficiency in digital graphics software (i.e., Canva, Illustrator) and online work platforms (i.e., Zoom, G-Suite)
  • Excellent liaising and interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills
  • With sound critical thinking, creative problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • With initiative and willingness to learn

Intern for Climate and Disaster Resilience

 

Description

The Intern for Climate and Disaster Resilience assists the Climate and Disaster Resilience (CDR) Program of AIS to implement research projects and initiatives on generating knowledge on and solutions for climate change and disaster risk and resilience.

Job Summary

The Intern for Climate and Disaster Resilience will:

  • Conduct research on different facets of climate change and sustainability.
  • Create writeups and materials on CDR activities and projects for the AIS website and other relevant dissemination channels.
  • Assist in collating and organizing materials (e.g., articles, videos, other resources) for the CDR page in the AIS website and the My Climate Risk (MCR) Ateneo de Manila University Regional Hub website.
  • Assist in CDR activities, such as but not limited to programs, logistics, and secretariat duties related to projects and events of the program.
  • Attend relevant meetings and discussions related to the program’s tasks.
Description of Education, Competence, and Experience Required:
  • Currently studying in AdMU undertaking a 4 or 5-year college degree
  • Experience or interest in climate, sustainability, and global environmental / sociopolitical issues
  • Strong research and project management skills, and experience in event organization

Intern for Sustainable Development Goals

 

Description

The Intern for SDG assists the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Program of AIS in all around work of the program. This includes organizing and implementing online and hybrid events of the sustainability-related networks supported by the institute, as well as assisting and creating materials for the development of Education for Sustainable Development modules.

Job Summary

The Intern for Sustainable Development Goals will:

  • Assist in programs, logistics, and secretariat duties related to webinars, on-site, and hybrid events on different facets of sustainability
  • Serve as an ambassador to student organizations from various universities to promote the events
  • Correspond to networks being supported by AIS (e.g., ASEAN University Network on Ecological Education and Culture or AUN-EEC, Sustainable Development Solutions Network Philippines or SDSN PH) to promote the events
  • Prepare post-event reports and news write-up for the Ateneo website
  • Attend relevant meetings and discussions related to the tasks
  • Assist in the development of Education for Sustainable Development modules.

Intern for Multimedia Content

 

Description

The Intern for Multimedia Content assists the Communications Officer in producing the quarterly newsletter, annual report, and other digital materials for social media.

Job Summary

The Intern for Multimedia Content will:

  • Assist in producing the AIS annual report and newsletter, including creating graphics, designing, and layouting written content into a news magazine format
  • Create digital content for release on social media, in line with AIS’ branding guidelines
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with other programs and the communications team in creating content
  • Attend relevant meetings and discussions related to the tasks
Description of Education, Competence, and Experience Required:
  • Currently studying in AdMU undertaking a 4 or 5-year college degree or the senior high school program
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing, and digital graphics software
  • Experience or interest in sustainability, environmental science, or associated fields
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing applications for the conduct of online work (i.e., Zoom, G-Suite)
  • Strong project management skills
  • With initiative and willingness to learn

Description

The Intern for Social Media Campaigns assists the Program Officer for Sustainable Development Goals and the Communications Officer in conceptualizing, researching, and curating online posts for events and global observances on topics related to sustainability.

Job Summary

The Intern for Social Media Campaigns will:

  • Provide support in creating promotional materials for AIS events
  • Create posters for AIS Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn promoting select global observances that highlight particular SDGs (e.g., International Wildlife Day, International Mother Language Day)
  • Conduct the necessary research to develop social media posters and website articles
  • Attend relevant meetings and discussions related to the tasks

  • Currently studying in AdMU undertaking a 4 or 5-year college degree or the senior high school program
  • Proficiency in digital graphics software (i.e., Canva or Photoshop) and social media management

Citizen Science with the Ateneo Wild

Be a citizen scientist! The Ateneo Wild is a citizen science initiative that highlights the value of urban biodiversity and green spaces in creating healthier, more beautiful cities. Through social media, guided nature walks, printed materials, and other activities, the program encourages the community to appreciate and engage with nature in the city.You can participate by documenting wildlife sightings on the Ateneo campus. Share your photos or videos, along with details like location, date and time, and any other relevant observations.
