Disaster Literacy Training

The training features basic concepts of disaster literacy, such as the determinants of disaster risk, multi-hazards, disaster risk reduction, resilience, and hazard management tools. It also includes hands-on activities on identifying potential risks in an area and its corresponding mitigation measures, usage of tools to determine seismic, hydrometeorological, and volcanic hazards, and scenario analysis on responding to different types of emergencies.

More than raising awareness, the sessions aim to build capacities, such as long-term knowledge and skills to stakeholders on disaster prevention, mitigation, and response to the systems and protocols within and outside the University.
