Scholarships and Financial Aid

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School offers scholarships and financial aid for students. As the available funding is limited, financial aid applications are strictly screened and the grants are primarily needs-based.

FOR GRADE 7 APPLICANTS: Scholarships for Grade 7 students are offered to applicants from public elementary schools. Top public elementary school students are invited to apply through the help of our Tulong-Dunong Program. 

FOR TRANSFEREES: Accepted transferees can only apply after their first year in AJHS.

FOR RENEWAL OF FINANCIAL AID: For current students who wish to apply for financial aid, please submit your application during the application period (27 January to 27 February 2026).

Applying for Scholarships and Financial Aid

  1. Application for financial aid scholarship is done on a yearly basis. Please SUBMIT ON TIME, so that the Financial Aid Committee can have enough time to deliberate on the applications.
  2. Application is through an ONLINE FORM, which will be opened during the application period. Accomplish the form and upload all the requirements.
  3. SCANNED documents and pictures will be uploaded to the form, so prepare the following ahead of time in order for submission to be done WITHIN the application period.

APPLICANT INFORMATION

  • RECENT Picture of Applicant
  • COMPLETED card for the grade level previous to application (Grade 5/6/7/8, whichever would apply). The card has to show the school logo and applicant’s information, signed by the Principal, with the note PROMOTED TO GRADE ___.
  • The MOST RECENT OFFICIAL copy of the CURRENT GRADE LEVEL CARD (Grade 6/7/8/9, whichever applies).
  • Letter of Recommendation from the HOMEROOM TEACHER of the applicant for the CURRENT YEAR, recommending the applicant for financial aid/scholarship. Please ask permission from your CURRENT HOMEROOM TEACHER to submit their name and contact details to your application. The OAS will send them a link to the recommendation form.

PARENT/GUARDIAN'S LETTER OF INTENT 

Please upload a signed letter of intent from the PARENT/GUARDIAN.
The letter must answer the ff questions:

  1. What is the background of your family (where are you from, how many people reside in your household, what do the parents do for work, are there any children working, etc.)? Please provide a complete overview of your family.
  2. What is your family’s financial status (what are your family’s source/s of income, how much are you earning, who is providing financial support to the student, what are your expenses, do you have savings, etc.)?
  3. Why are you applying for the Financial Aid Scholarship?

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Pictures of the family residence: front, bedroom, kitchen, dining (jpg or png format)
  • Pictures of any vehicles owned, borrowed, etc.
  • One FAMILY picture
  • ITR of EACH parent for the most recent fiscal year, or Certificate of non-filing from the BIR, if not applicable
  • Payslips for EACH parent covering the most recent THREE MONTHS available at time of application.
  • UTILITY BILLS covering a three-month period prior to application: Phone, Internet, Electricity, Water, Credit cards.

Deliberations will be conducted by the Financial Aid Committee. Results will be sent out before the enrollment period. Applicants will be notified through email about the result of their application.
