Dr Alvin P Ang
Professor of Economics & Chair of the Department of Economics
Dr. Ang is a Professor of Economics at Ateneo de Manila University and currently the Director of the Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development (ACERD). He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas. He went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore (Singapore Government Scholar) and obtained his PhD in Applied Economics from Osaka University (2006, Japanese Government Scholar).
His current areas of research include: Labor and Development Economics, Competition, Privatization and Public Finance.
Dr Fernando T Aldaba
Professor of Economics
Dr. Aldaba is a Professor and former chair of the Department of Economics, Ateneo de Manila University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering (1981) from Ateneo de Manila University and obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of the Philippines (1996).
His current areas of research include: ASEAN Economic Community, Social Protection, Poverty, Migration and Services Liberation.
Dr Luis F Dumlao
Associate Professor
Dr. Dumlao graduated with a Bachelor of Arts double degree in Economics and International/Intercultural Studies from Fordham University and obtained his PhD in Economics from the same university (1992).
His current areas of research include: Macroeconomics and International Financial Economics.
Dr Cielito F Habito
Professor of Economics & Chief of Party for the USAID Trade-Related Assistance for Development (TRADE) Project
Dr. Habito graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños (1975) and obtained his PhD in Economics from Harvard University (1984).
His current areas of research include: Economic Policy, Public Finance Sustainable Development and International Economics.
