Xavier Algenio wins bronze for PH in Asia Math Olympiad

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School mathlete Xavier Algenio (Montserrat/9-Lewis) won a bronze award in the grade 8 division of the Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO).
Filipino mathletes won a total of 21 golds, 51 silvers and 73 bronzes at the 2021 AIMO, which was held online on August 1, 2021. The AIMO was described by the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG) Philippines as “one of this year’s most intense international math competitions.”
