Student-athletes from the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) and Senior High School (ASHS) showcased their prowess on the strip at the Young Musketeers 2025 3rd Leg Interclub Competition, which was held across two weekends (November 22–23 and November 29–30, 2025) at the Suncrest Building in Libis, Quezon City. Competing against a diverse field of athletes from various fencing clubs, the Ateneans delivered a strong performance that resulted in several podium finishes.
In the JHS division, Ethan Santos (7-Aranha) emerged as a standout performer by capturing the Gold medal in the Sabre Team U-13 category. He further demonstrated his versatility and skill by securing Bronze medals in both the Sabre Individual U-14 and Cadet divisions. His consistent performance across multiple age groups highlights the promising depth of the school's fencing program.
The SHS fencers also made their mark during the high-stakes meet. Matthew General (12-Miki) earned a Gold medal in the Sabre Individual category, reinforcing his status as a top contender in the weapon. Meanwhile, Rana Rafael (12-Evans) displayed tactical grit in the Epee Team Opens, successfully bagging a Bronze medal for the blue and white.
These achievements were made possible through the dedicated mentorship of the Ateneo Fencing Team coaching staff, led by Edward Daliva and Rebekah Reyno for Sabre, Alexander Ragot for Epee, and Rupert Endriano for Foil.
