Ethan Santos grabs bronze at Hampton Fencing Club’s 3rd Winter Cup

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) student-athlete Ethan Santos (7-Aranha) added another medal to the Blue Eagles' tally after a strong showing at the 3rd Winter Cup of Hampton Fencing Club, held on 18 January 2026 at the Hampton Fencing Club in Muntinlupa City.
Competing in the Individual U14 Boys Sabre category, Santos displayed sharp tactical awareness and agility to secure the Bronze medal. He faced a competitive field of athletes from various accredited Philippine fencing clubs, making the podium finish a significant achievement in a tournament known for highlighting grassroots talent and developmental progress.
The Winter Cup is an annual invitational that provides fencers with a specialized environment to sharpen their skills during the mid-season. By testing his mettle against club-level opponents, Santos continues to build the experience necessary for high-stakes school league competitions.
His success was supported by the Ateneo Fencing Team’s seasoned coaching staff, including Edward Daliva and Rebekah Reyno for sabre, Rupert Endriano for foil, and Alexander Ragot for epee.
