Seven ASHS debaters are World Schools Asia League champs

Seven members of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School debate contingent won all their rounds and emerged as the champions among other teams from different regions in Asia at the World Schools Debating League Asia Fall Season 2021! The competition was held online on September 15 & 29; October 13, 20, & 27; November 3 & 10; and December 11, 2021.
The ASHS debaters who broke first in the tournament include Naomi Ang (12-Miki), Anton Abiera (12-Bobola), Elio Bejarin (12-Grodecky), Johann Bernardo (12-Bobola), Marcus Flores (12-Miki), Hannah Alcasid (11-Realino), and Leona Calderon (12-Denn).
Individually, Anton was named 3rd Best Speaker of the tournament, with Naomi and Elio both tying for 4th Best Speaker.
The tournament was hosted by LearningLeaders in association with the Harvard College Debating Union.
