12 AJHS players help ‘Prime Brothers’ win KLBL 13U basketball championship

Consisting primarily of Ateneans (including one player from Ateneo de Manila Grade School and 12 from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School), the Prime Brothers Basketball Club (PBBC) team emerged as 13-under champion of the King’s Landing Basketball League (KLBL) Refresh Cup 2022. In addition, Ja Teodoro (Cardoner/7-Alfonso) was named MVP of the tournament, while he and Dos Adriano (La Storta/7-Corby) both emerged as Mythical Team selections. The other members of the PBBC team who are from AJHS are JB David (Montserrat/7-Goto), Migs Favis (Montserrat/7-Goto), Enzo Gallardo (Pamplona/7-Pires), Pio Gonzales (Montserrat/7-Harcourt), Jhustin Hallare (La Storta/7-Corby), Eno Henson (Cardoner/7-Alonso), Liam Macapagal (Pamplona/7-Pignatelli), RJ Nicolas (Montserrat/7-Goto), Ram Ramos (Montserrat/7-Grimaltos), and Andrew Sanchez (Montserrat/7-Goto).   

Team PBBC won the championship via 12-0 sweep in the double round games against the Blue Knights (San Beda and Marist), Heart and Hustle (San Benildo), the JRP Panthers (Xavier), and Archers (De La Salle Zobel).  

The KLBL Refresh Cup began in May and was concluded on June 21, 2022. The games were held in the AFP Wellness Center in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, and the King’s Landing Basketball Court in Filinvest East, Cainta.
