Ateneo Born-2011 Football Team is Referees Cup U11 champ

Consisting of Ateneo de Manila Grade School student-athletes from grades 5 & 6, the Ateneo Born-2011 football team emerged as U11 champion of the Referees Cup, besting five other teams. Our goalkeeper, Lucas Escalante (6-Gonzaga), also received the MVP award for his outstanding performance during the finals match. The members of Ateneo Born-2011 are Sancho Aquino (6-Campion), Chad Baviera (6-Realino), Aki Belza (6-Regis), Alejo Commeyne, (5-Subanon), Francis Desabille (6-Bellarmine), Basti Driz (6-Berchmans), Lucas Escalante, Chase Francisco (6-Miki), Zach Gan (6-Campion), Zach Go (6-Miki), Andres Sumpaico (6-Campion), Josef Tomas (6-Campion), Rocco Uy (5-Kalinga), and Jaime Villanueva (6-Claver).
The tournament was held at Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa, Batangas on August 20, 2022.
