AJHS golfer helps Ateneo place 3rd in JGFP golf tourney

Ateneo Team 1 emerged as 2nd runner up of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) Inter-School Championship, Senior High School Team division. The team consists of Ateneo de Manila Junior High School player Andre Lina (Pamplona/10-Yuki) and Ateneo de Manila Senior High School players Kirk Dela Torre (11-Borja), Glenn Unabia (11-Bellarmino), and team captain Tyler Zamuco (12-Anchieta).   

The five-game tournament ran from October 16 - December 4, 2022, and was played in Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club in Cavite, Norman & Aoki Course in Cavite, and Mimosa Acacia Lakeview Course in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

It was a tough competition with the best junior golf players from top high schools like De La Salle Zobel, Xavier School, British School Manila, International School Manila, and La Salle Greenhills. Other schools that participated were Assumption Antipolo, Assumption San Lorenzo, Colegio San Agustin Makati, Davao Christian High School, Gracewood Academy Pasig, Home School Global, Immaculate Conception Academy, International School Manila, Learning Links Academy, Lyceum of the Philippines Cavite, Maria Montessori School, National University Laguna, Noblesse International School, Our Lady of Assumption Academy, The Beacon Academy, and School of Tomorrow.
