Cross Acal wins gold in prestigious national TKD tourney

Ateneo de Manila Grade School’s Cross Acal (5-Bagobo) won a gold medal for sparring/kyorugi in the 2023 National Carlos Palanca Jr. (CPJ) Taekwondo Championships, which were held on February 17, 2023, at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City.
The CPJ championships are among the most prestigious competitions held by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) and are open only to black belts.
Cross is a member of the Ateneo Grade School Taekwondo Varsity and is coached and trained by Joey Cesar Paja and Karla Jane Alava.
