Ateneo boys place 2nd in UAAP 86 Swimming

Ateneo de Manila University's boys’ swim team – consisting of swimmers from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School and Senior High School – finished as 1st runner-up in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 High School Swimming Championships on November 26, 2023. It was the blue-and-white team's second consecutive silver finish in two years.

Over the four days of the competition from November 23 to 26, the Blue Eagles collected seven golds, six silvers, and three bronze medals for a tally of 327 points. This put them behind eventual champion UST’s 711 points, and ahead of third placer University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) with 75 points.

Ivo Enot (12-Evans): gold, 100m freestyle + silver, 200m individual medley
Franz Ong (12-Anchieta): silver, 800m freestyle
Marcus Molino (9-Garate), Toby Sy (11-Fontoura), Gabe Viovicente (11-San Vitores), Zion Jalla (9-Harcourt) : silver, 4x50m medley relay
