Ateneo girls place 2nd in UAAP 86 Swimming and notch school-best performance

Improving on its 3rd place finish in Season 85, the Ateneo de Manila University girls’ team finished as 1st runner-up of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 High School Swimming Championships on November 26. The second-place finish is a school-best performance for the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School girls.

Over the four days of competition, the Blue Eagles collected four golds, seven silvers, and two bronze medals for a total of 264 points. This placed them behind champion UST’s 557 points and ahead of 2nd runner-up UPIS with 210 points.

Liaa Amoguis (11-Garnet): gold, 800m freestyle

Lora Amoguis (12-Denn): silver, 100m freestyle + gold, 200m individual medley

Liaa Amoguis: silver, 400m freestyle
Lora Amoguis: gold, 200m backstroke
Samantha Lim (11-Grande), Andie Antig, Elice Diaz, Abbie Duquez (11-Nakaura): bronze, 4x100m freestyle relay
Day 3: November 25, 2023
Lora Amoguis: gold, 200m freestyle + silver, 100m backstroke
Liaa Amoguis: silver, 400m individual medley
