Born-2013 Blue Eagles are PAYA dev't league basketball champs

The Ateneo de Manila Grade School's Born-2013 basketball varsity emerged as 10U champion of the Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA) Development League basketball tournament. Rostered in the champion team are Tayshaun Benito (4-Dagohoy), Kael Castañeda (4-Sultan Kudarat), RyRy De Guzman (5-Maranaw), Theo Del Mundo (5-Maranaw), Jeric Espiritu (4-Lakandula), Ryley Floirendo (5-Maguindanao), Chip Gandionco (4-Sikatuna), Julian German (5-Maranaw), Matteo Lanot (5-Yakan), Joaquin Luz (5-Yakan), Enzo Martinez (4-Dagohoy), Eli Martires (4-Lakandula), Andrei Samson (4-Lakandula), Hunter Tajon (5-Dumagat), and Jorge Zaballa (5-Subanon).
Coached by Monroe Cueson (head coach) and Roby Simons (assistant coach), the Blue Eagles won all their games against teams from Xavier School, Claret School of Quezon City, De La Salle Zobel, La Salle Greenhills, and Colegio San Agustin Makati. They won the title following the hard-fought championship match against De La Salle Zobel on December 9, 2023.
The PAYA tournament was held at Xavier School in San Juan from October 14 to December 9, 2023.
