Moulic wins silver for cadet men’s sabre in national fencing tourney

Three Ateneans- two from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School and one from Senior High School- won medals in the first leg of the Philippine Fencing Association’s (PFA) National Cadet & Junior Fencing Championships held in late April.
AJHS Blue Eagle Mairon Moulic of 10-Pignatelli won two medals, a silver for Cadet Men’s Sabre and a bronze for Junior Men’s Sabre.
For his part, AJHS student athlete Matthew General of 10-Rodrigues bagged bronze (4th place) for Cadet Men’s Sabre.

Last but not least, Senior High School Blue Eagle Adam Aceron of 11-Angelis also bagged bronze (3rd place) for Cadet Men’s Sabre.

The Ateneans were coached by Edward Daliva for the competition, which was staged by the PFA and held on April 27 (Cadet) and April 28 (Junior) at the Quantum Skyview of Gateway 2 Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.
The event and its succeeding legs aim to rank the country's four best players for each age group and weapon by the end of the season.
