AJHS golfer Javie Bautista places 2nd in Malaysia Junior Open

Representing the Philippines, AJHS student athlete Javie Bautista (7-Andlauer) claimed the first runner-up spot in the Boys’ C (10-12) category of the Malaysia International Junior Open (MIJO) 2024 on 24 November 2024. His second place finish in a field of 52 players from various countries was described as a “stunning performance” by newspaper reports.
Held at Tanjung Puteri Golf Resort in Johor, Malaysia, MIJO was held from 21-24 November 2024 and pitted 12-year-old Javie against some of the world’s top junior golfers and emerging talents.
