Ateneo HS Boys' Volleyball Team is U18 Champion of British School Manila Tournament

Composed of players from Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) and Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS), the Ateneo de Manila High School boys’ volleyball team emerged as U18 Champion of the British School Manila (BSM) Volleyball Tournament on 16 March 2025. Rostered in the team are Anton Avendaño (10-Pires), Gab Garcia (9-Lewis), Lucas Garcia (10-Realino), Randall Lugtu (10-Spinola), Ise Macasero (10-Spinola), Mique Mactal (7-Ashley), Lorenz Melindo (9-Goto), and Jideo Peña (10-Nagashima) from AJHS; and Diego Avila (12-Bobola), Jaime Avila (11-Goupil), Xavier Castillo (11-Brebeuf), Ranidel de Ocampo Jr. (11-Torres), Aedan Dela Rosa (11-Perez), Kevin Gabia (12-Bobola), Enzo Mendoza (11-Bellarmino), Ken Nicolas (12-Anchieta), Kem Rivera (11-Fontoura), and Ethan Rivera (11-Fontoura) from ASHS. They are coached by Babes Castillo (head coach), Franz Damian (assistant), Michael Jay Regala (assistant), and Anne Marga Funiestas (physical therapist), and led by team captain Ken Nicolas.   

The tournament was held in the British School Manila campus in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, on March 8 (eliminations) and 16 (semis and finals), 2025. Among the teams which participated in the U18 boys’ division were Beacon Academy, British School Manila, Everest International Academy, Noblesse International School, and Santo Domingo Integrated High School.
