Ateneo HS Girls’ Volleyball Team is British School Manila Tournament’s U18 Champion

Composed of players from Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) and Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS), the Ateneo de Manila High School girls’ volleyball team emerged as U18 Champion of the British School Manila (BSM) Volleyball Tournament, besting teams from Assumption College San Lorenzo, Beacon Academy, British School Manila, Junior Elite Volley Camp, and Volley One Camp. Rostered in the team are Jona Ajon (7-Ashley), Natalie Barroca (7-Aranha), Lexi Buenaventura (7-Alfonso), Avary Lister (7-Borgia), and Irene Yaranon (7-Baena) from AJHS; and Rian Ardidon (12-Bobola), Luanne Atienza (11-Owen), Fobi Castellano (11-Garnet), Jelena Dait (11-Goupil), Gian Damian (11-Borgia), Tiffany Foo (11-Perez), Ysa Gomez (11-Moscoso), Nicola Ladignon (12-Gonzalez), and Thaea Ramos (12-Solinas) from ASHS. They are coached by Babes Castillo (head), Franz Damian (assistant), Michael Jay Regala (assistant), and Anne Marga Funiestas (physical therapist), and led by team captain Rian Ardidon. 

The teams from Colegio de Santa Rosa and Queen Anne School also participated in the BSM volleyball tournament, which was held in the British School Manila campus in BGC, Taguig on March 9 (eliminations) and 16 (semis and finals), 2025. 

The title win for the Blue Eagles came the day after they placed second in the Everest Volleyball Invitational, which was also held in BGC.
